Poetry, Trees More Expressive Now

I find myself in a quiet/contemplative winter spell. I’ll leave this poem by by William Carlos Williams here to work its own magic.

And I wish you a Happy New Year!

Winter Trees

All the complicated details
of the attiring and
the disattiring are completed!
A liquid moon
moves gently among
the long branches.
Thus having prepared their buds
against a sure winter
the wise trees
stand sleeping in the cold.
